On December 17, 2016 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Deputy V.L. Powell responded to a fight at Mick’s Sports Bar on Jefferson Davis Highway. Once there the deputy arrested a participant in the fight for Drunk in Public. Deputy Powell ran a warrant check on the subject and found he was wanted in both Caroline County and Spotsylvania County on numerous charges.
Sterling D. Fortune, age 33 of Milford, Virginia, was charged with Public Swearing and Intoxication, Sexual Battery, Inanimate Object Penetration, Breaking and Entering and Shoplifting. He is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and is being held without bond.
