A deputy’s job is never done, even while making a quick stop at Walmart. On December 20th at approximately 7:06 p.m. Deputy G.P. McCaulley was off-duty and in plain clothes at Walmart, located at 14 North Stafford Complex. While there, a female approached him and advised there was a male walking around the store exposing himself. Deputy McCaulley let the victim know he was law enforcement and made a call to Communications Officers as he began searching for the suspect. Deputy J.W. Ahern quickly responded and together, they located the suspect. The suspect was discovered to be in possession of a vape, despite him only being 19 years old. Deputy Ahern located two other witnesses who also observed the suspect with his genitals exposed. The suspect was charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and underage possession of tobacco. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond. Great work to not only Deputy Ahern for his quick response, but to Deputy McCaulley for being a model deputy even off the clock.
