On September 16th at approximately 11:10 p.m. Deputy K.P. Hall responded to the 300 block of Chatham Heights Road for a single vehicle auto accident. When he arrived the vehicle was there, but there was no driver. Deputies were able to make contact with the registered owner, who had everyone in his family accounted for, except for one. That 15-year-old family member returned moments later and confirmed he was in fact the driver, despite not having authorization to drive the vehicle. The juvenile had signs of being under the influence, as well as, a Buzz Ball within the vehicle. Criminal complaints for driving under the influence, driving under the influence after illegal consumption of alcohol, and unauthorized use of a vehicle were filed. Juvenile Intake would not take custody of the juvenile, so he was turned over to a family member.
