A Stafford woman was arrested for DUI after she drove off the roadway into a creek Friday night.
On August 19th at approximately 9:20 p.m. Deputy J.K. Griffith responded to a single vehicle accident near the intersection of Brooke Road and Poplar View Drive. His investigation revealed Katura Francis, 22, had driven a Nissan Versa off the roadway into the water.
Francis was not injured, but Deputy Griffith noticed she had glassy eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were offered and she was arrested.
Francis was charged with DUI and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
Drive sober or get pulled over.
